Bodemeister: The Preakness Morning Line Favorite

After a very strong run, yet disappointing second place finish in the 2012 Kentucky Derby, Bodemeister leads the field as the 8/5 morning line favorite in the Preakness. Owned by Zayat Stables and Southern Equine Stable, legendary trainer Bob Baffert will watch this amazing 3-year old colt charge out of post-position #7 with jockey Mike Smith on board.

I’ll Have Another Takes The Second Step Towards The Triple Crown

While Triple Crown Championship hopes spring eternal throughout every barn on Kentucky Derby Day, only one stable has those same aspirations on Preakness Day. This year that honor belongs to I’ll Have Another as a 5/2 second favorite. J. Paul Reddam and trainer Doug F. O’Neill send their Derby Champion out of PP9 with jockey Mario Gutierrez getting the mount.

Preakness Full Field Post-Positions and Morning Betting Lines

We love the battle that’s shaping up between the top two runners who clashed during the Run for the Roses. We also feel that a monumental effort will be required from the other nine horses if one of them hopes for an upset in the Preakness. Watch out for a reverse Derby finish.

Betting windows are wide open and horse handicappers can wager on the Preakness all the way up to the scheduled 6:18 PM ET post time from Old Hilltop. Register a private online betting account, scoop a deposit bonus, and then back a 7-9 Exacta in the Preakness!
