Free Pick Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks NHL Stanley Cup Betting Lines: A long draught, for one of these two clubs, will end during 2010-11 Stanley Cup Finals.

The Canucks franchise was a year old when the Bruins last sipped from the Cup, after defeating the New York Rangers in six games, back in 1972.

We love this match-up – so let’s get to the fire on ice!

Puck drop for Game One of the 2010-11 Stanley Cup betting action is slated for 8:00 PM ET on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, from Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Stanley Cup Final Preview – Bruins @ Canucks

The Canucks (54-19-9) won their first Presidents’ Trophy in club history as they finished the regular season with 117 points. Vancouver took down the Chicago Blackhawks (4-3) the Nashville Predators (4-2), and the the San Jose Sharks (4-1) to win the NHL Western Conference

The goaltenders, Tim Thomas of the Bruins and Roberto Luongo of the Canucks, have been mirror images of each other in the 2011 NHL Playoffs.

Canucks vs Bruins Betting Lines 2011 Stanley Cup Finals

Though this is viewed as a Canada vs. USA Series, the Bruins 20 man roster has 16 Canadian born players to just 13 on the Canucks 24 man roster. In all, eight countries are represented in the Cup Final.

Brute meets Finesse, as the Bruins will look to crash and bash while the Canucks will rely on speed and precision. That plays right into the Canucks hand, as the one glaring difference between these two teams is Special Teams play.

The Canucks power play is humming along at a rate of 28.3% (17 goals) while the Bruins are an abysmal 8.2% (five goals) with the man advantage.

Once the Canucks start flying, and the Bruins subsequently take penalties, the Vancouver power play will burn Boston.

We like the Canucks to win tonight and eventually bring the Stanley Cup back to Canada for the first time since the Montreal Canadians won it back in 1993.

Take the Canucks over the Bruins at -190 on the Bodog Money Line!
